another hooked bag

I was at a meeting last night and re-encountered one of my hoooked bags. I made this bag about two years ago and it sold quickly–before I had even photographed it. It was like meeting an old friend! I took a couple of photos with my phone so that I could remember it–and share it with you.

I am about to begin hooking with the pile of t-shirts for a new project and the designs on this bag have  inspired me. I am amazed how easily I forgot it–just shows how important it is to document our work!

  1. Great bag! I’ve been plotting a new design for the last few weeks….and decided I’m going to steal a couple of pages from your book of sewing on bits of fabric to reduce the weight, including a large Ultrasuede pocket on one side. It will be my Georgia project….but first I need to do all of the prep work and pre-sewing….ugh! ;-)

  2. I’ll be interested to see your new design! I use bits of fabric and also felted sweaters which give a nice patterned effect. And this bag has leather piped along the top which makes for a nice finish. It was great to see it wearing so well, now that it is into its second year of use.

Georgia is coming soon…when do you leave??
