Here are a few sketches from my final days in Limoux in June. These sketches were unfinished, so I’ve been finishing them up and reliving the quality of the light in this lovely town. One of my favourite spots was the terrace of Le Monastère where we stayed. The first is taken from the balcony and the second in the courtyard. The last is a square just a block away.
My sketchbook by the end of a trip starts to be pretty grubby as you can see.

LOVED seeing your sketches of Limoux and so thrilled that I’ve put down a deposit for the next trip.
I’m sitting with my morning coffee and thoroughly enjoying the magic of Limoux. I like how you captured the arch on the narrow road to Vieux Pont. It was always in the shadows and challenging to capture.
Oddly enough, I’m never tired of going back. Can’t wait for 2019.

Wow, Cathy! I am just seeing this now as we have been at the cottage with minimal internet. I’m thrilled that we will be both be back in Limoux!! Fingers crossed for the Vine House.
