I was in Toronto yesterday to make some new screens and get some materials. I love the light in Arounna’s shop and I love her quiet encouragement even more. I don’t make new screens very often and I certainly needed lots of prodding on the process yesterday. Here is a glimpse of what is to come. I am thinking small pouches, larger canvas totes and lining for leather bags.

Anne just brought home another bag made by her talented friend Christine: She can’t get enough of them…, as well as a “manly” pouch for me, made from an old bomber jacket. I just love the utilization old leather for practical new use in the many different very creative designs with the unique features of old leather. And the workmanship of these one-of-a kind bags is absolutely superb with many small smart practical touches . Christine produces truly artistic pieces, which are totally undervalued. Put a famous name to them and they would be worth hundreds of dollars. We certainly appreaciate and use these pieces.
